GET IT BACK LOW JACK
ACTIVATION # WA09-804
Vehicle: 2004 Harley Davidson FXS motorcycle
Activation: King County Sheriffs Office, April 23, 2009, 7:58 p.m.
Recovery: Tukwila Police Department, April 23, 8:25 p.m.
Dealership: Downtown Harley Davidson in Tukwila, Washington
A co-worker of the owner advised him he thought the owner had left his place of work because his 2004 Harley Davidson was seen leaving the parking lot. The owner verified his bike was stolen and called the King County Sheriffs office who quickly arrived to take a theft report. King County SO entered the VIN into the NCIC police computer. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the motorcycle. Neither the owner nor law enforcement had to do anything else to activate the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery Network because LoJack’s interface with law enforcement is both seamless and instantaneous.
Only seven minutes after entry and activation of the LoJack transponder, Tukwila Police officers, equipped with LoJack Tracking Computers, received the signal transmitting from the stolen Harley. It was quickly located abandoned and covered with a tarp at an apartment complex in the 15700 block of 39th Place South in Tukwila. Surveillance was set up on the bike, but nobody returned to it.
It was returned to the owner with damage to the ignition lock, but nothing else.
The owner purchased the Harley just eight months earlier and was very glad he made the decision to protect his bike with LoJack.
LoJack was installed in August of 2008.

Hail Fellow HOG Members
Most of you do not know me so . . . I am Bret Walker a relatively new member. I ride a ’04 Softail duce. My contact information is on the members profiles tab on the chapter web site.
My Harley is my primary means of transportation. I only drag the Pickup out if I have to haul more than I can carry on two wheels (not often). I ride to work and park by the back door. If it is nice I leave early and take a spin around Alki on the way in. On Thursday ????? I was working a little later than I often do and about 5:05 PM my alarm went off. I went out and turned it off, thinking some kid was messing with it and that the alarm probably scared the pee out of him. I thought that I reset the alarm but now I am just not sure. About 15 minutes later one of the girls where I work said “I thought you left” I said “No I’m still working” she said “Who just rode off on your bike?” I thought she was teasing me because the alarm went off earlier. We looked out the door and sure enough, my Harley had gone missing.
I called the Burien Police, filed a missing motorcycle report, and tried to relax. I bummed a ride home. About 3 hours after the duce went missing the Tukwila Police called me and Invited me to come on down to an apartment complex east of the Lewis & Clark theatre and pick up my wayward vehicle. It was parked next to a shed by another motorcycle under a tarp.
How did the Police find my missing motorcycle so quickly? LOJACK Baby. The best grand I ever spent.
